The area was packed with motorcycles and vehicles. At the beginning there were easily 1,200 bikes. The volunteers assisting with the distribution of the shirts, coffee and donuts deserve a big THANK YOU. Everything went off smoothly and everyone was greeted with a smile.
Steelhorse Fellowship Motorcycle Club's riders from the Palm Beach Posse and the Collier County Posse attended the event. Twister (Collier Posse) donated the use of her RV to help support the ride and carry equipment for other participants.
The Law Enforcement Escort was phenomenal. So many agencies assisted with either their Motor Units or Road Patrol vehicle. The escort was very professional and one of the safest I have ever participated in.
Just one of many Brothers and Sisters who kept us safe and organized during the ride.
The Sheriff's Office Motor Units take a well deserved break while we honored Sgt Reyka at the VA Cemetery in Lake Worth.
The cemetery was filled to capacity, it was a great illustration of Brotherhood among Law Enforcement Officers, our families and friends.
The body of the run stretched over miles. Steelhorse Posse MC was positioned near the rear and it was impossible to even see anywhere near the front of the line. This ride was very impressive.
The visit to the Police Officer Hall of Fame was a nice way of ending the ride. Everyone explored the Hall and spent private time honoring their fallen Brothers & Sisters from their respective agencies. Steelhorse Posse MC took some special time to honor Donta Manuel and Jonathan Wallace who were killed in the line of duty during 2007.
These two beautiful sketches of Brother Manuel and Brother Wallace were created by Whitey (Detective Fred Wartberg) from our Palm Beach Posse. He donated his talent and deserves a great deal of appreciation for his efforts. The pictures were noteworthy.

Steelhorse Posse MC proudly
attended the Sgt Chris Reyka Memorial Run on March 29, 2008. The turnout was
impressive to say the least, 1200 bikes isn't too shabby for Deputy
Donnelley's first attempt at a motorcycle rally. These events are never easy and
Deputy Donnelley pulled this one off like an experienced professional.
Steelhorse Posse completed the entire ride, from Pompano Beach to Titusville, we
even stayed the night at the campgrounds. It was nice to see so many of our
Brothers & Sisters coming together to honor Sgt Reyka and the other Law
Enforcement Officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice during 2007.
Steelhorse Posse transported Sketches of Deputy Donta Manuel and Deputy Jonathan
Wallace to the Hall of Fame. At the Hall of Fame we honored there sacrifice for the citizens
of Palm Beach County at the Tomb of the Unknown Officer and the Prayer for Peace
Officers. We made rubbings of their names from the walls of the Hall. We plan on
putting these items together in a memorial frame and present them to the Manuel
and Wallace family in the near future.
There are
more pictures going to be added to this page so check back later.
If you have
some special picture from the ride you'd like to have posted, just contact Kelly
and the photo will be posted.
